Hofstede Cultural Dimension Theory


一、Hofstede 國家文化構面簡介
       
Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory是荷蘭心理學家吉爾特·霍夫斯泰德提出的用來衡量不同國家文化差異的一個框架。他認為文化是在一個環境下人們共同擁有的心理程序,能將一群人與其他人區分開來。通過研究,他將不同文化間的差異歸納為六個基本的文化價值觀維度。
        這項研究最初是根據1960年代到1970年代IBM一項大規模全球範圍內問卷調查的數據進行分析得到的。一開始霍夫斯泰德將不同文化的價值觀取向分為四個基本維度:權力距離、個人主義、不確定性規避與男性化。
         1991年,根據香港中文大學Michael Bond教授對東西方文化對比的研究成果,霍夫斯泰德增加了能反應儒家化價值觀的第五個維度:長期導向。而在2010年,根據Micheal Minkov對World Values Survey數據的分析結果,Hofstede又為這一模型增加了第六個維度:放任與約束。(以上資訊編輯自維基百科)

How to use DISC to explore yourself



()  DISC 的背景
DISC 是一種人類的行為語言學,其理論的核心概念可回溯到紀元前 450 年,現代醫學之 父希波克拉底(Hippocrates)首次描述四種人格型態,其科學研究與洞察仍普遍被應用於現 今大多數性格或行為類型的測評方法。經過歷代心理學家深入的分析與歸納,美國心理學家 威廉.馬斯頓博士(Dr. William Marston) 1928 年在其著作《常人之情緒》(The Emotions of Normal People)提出 DISC 人格四型理論-Dominance-支配,Influence-影響,Steady-穩定,以 及 Compliance-服從,以協助解釋人類的動機與情緒反應。而 DISC 即代表了這四個英文單字 的首字母。此理論強調行事風格類似的人會展現類似的行為,並成為個人處理事情的方式; 人會因需求不同,而表現出四項主要的人格特質因子和其不同的混合的型態。 在第二次世界大戰中,DISC 人格分析測驗被廣泛運用於美國的新兵招募工作。由於其 價值倍受到軍方重視與肯定,在二次世界大戰後,DISC 也被推廣於商業性的招聘用途中。 自 70 年代起至今,DISC 理論是目前世界上最被廣泛運用的人類行為分類方式,是一切行為 風格理論的基礎,全球參與測試的人數已超過 3000 萬人次以上,並一致驚異其準確度。
